SAFI ist laut. Intensiv.
Ein spröder, unbequemer aber magischer Ausnahmezustand. Ambivalenz und Zerrissenheit sind Ausgangspunkt, die kombinierte Virtuosität aus viereinhalb Oktaven Stimmumfang und dem Kunstdiplom sind Fundament, niemals Selbstzweck. SAFI zeigt ihr Gesicht mit schnörkelloser Geradlinigkeit, pur, groß. Umarmt von einer gewaltigen Klangmauer. Krachsituation.

Safis Worte, scharfkantig und klar, sind Splitter von Realitäten, die in Klanggebilde geschleudert werden. „Der Moment, der zwischen deinen Nerven klemmt.“ Lyrik und die raue Unbeugsamkeit ihrer Stimme definieren Safis wachsamen Blick auf die Dinge – politisch, düster, real. Songstrukturen treten neue Pfade und morphen in Wall of Sounds der dreiköpfigen Band, bestehend aus zwei Gitarren, Schlagzeug und Elektronika. Schubladen werden gesprengt und mit dem aktuellen Werk „Groteske“ über Postpunk, Nowave zu Avantgarde ausgeweitet. „Uff.“ (Alexander Hacke, Einstürzende Neubauten)

Safis Stimme ist SAFI.
Der Scheitel ihres musikalischen Ausdrucks. Sie rollt keine Ideologien auf, sondern bietet der Hörerschaft Konzentrate für Reflexionen an.
Die Inhalte sind bedingungslos, fordernd und gehen sehr nah. Sie verschafft sich damit Zugang zu künstlerischen Auffassungen jenseits gängiger Peripherien als sonst in diesem Kontext üblich. „SAFI ist ein einziger kritischer Moment, der sich in die Zukunft frisst und sich anfühlt wie eine Operation am offenen Herzen.“ (Westzeit Magazin)

Wenn Profitorientierung das Weltgefüge destabilisiert, demokratische Prozesse in Frage gestellt werden, Feindbilder Lösungen ersetzen, Rassismus unsere Gesellschaft weiter aufspaltet, muss es die Aufgabe der Kunst sein, Sprachlosigkeit zu übersetzen, Mut zu machen, sie muss Spiegel sein, muss am Gewissen zündeln. „Hast du etwa Angst?“, rotzt der Track „Adrenalin (feat. Rummelsnuff)“ der knüppelschwingenden Menge ins Gesicht und stellt Hetze als Angst bloß.

SAFIs drittes Studioalbum wurde produziert vom Berliner Soundkreateur Moses Schneider. (Tocotronic, Ätna, u. v. m.).
„Natural vocal distortion – coole Scheiße!“ Es geht um pure Energie. Die Stücke wurden in Echtzeit gespielt, gesungen und live aufgenommen in den Hansa Studios Berlin. Mit Liebe zum Krach, der sich aus herkömmlichen Klang-Attitüden herausschält, wurde das Potenzial ohne Becken, ohne Griffmuster und aufgesetzte Schemata abgebildet. Dafür mit Hilfe von präparierten Instrumenten und einem Blech vom Schrottplatz.
Gäste der Krachgemeinschaft sind u. a. Dennis Lyxzén (Refused), Sebastian Madsen (Madsen) und Rummelsnuff. „The way Safi creates music is beyond anything I heard in a very long time.“ (Dennis Lyxzén)

Mit „Groteske“ wird SAFI erstmals auf Rookie Records erscheinen.
Dort liefert sie ein furioses Statement, wie Punk außerdem definiert werden kann.
Das Album ist ein kompromissloses, kratz-schürfendes und stacheliges Signal zum Aufbruch.
Die Hörenden werden damit erneut ein schroffes Biest erhalten, das sie nur sehr laut genießen möchten. „Es fällt mir keine andere Musikerin in Deutschland ein, die so einen kompromisslos zauberhaften Krach fabriziert.“ (Sebastian Madsen)

SAFI is loud. Intense.
A brittle, uncomfortable but magical state of emergency. Ambivalence and conflict are the starting point, the combined virtuosity of a four-and-a-half octave vocal range and the art diploma are the foundation, never an end in itself. SAFI shows her face with straightforward straightforwardness, pure, big. Embraced by a huge wall of sound. A noisy situation.

Poetry and the rough inflexibility of her voice define Safi's watchful view of things - political, dark, real. Safi’s voice is SAFI.
The pinnacle of her musical expression. She doesn’t roll up ideologies, but offers the audience concentrates for reflection. The content is unconditional, demanding and very close.

When profit orientation destabilizes the world structure, democratic processes are called into question, enemy images replace solutions, racism further divides our society, it must be the task of art to translate speechlessness, to give courage, it must be a mirror, it must set fire to conscience. “Are you afraid?” the track “Adrenalin (feat. Rummelsnuff)” spits in the face of the club-wielding crowd, exposing agitation as fear.

SAFI's third studio album was produced by Berlin sound creator Moses Schneider. (Tocotronic, Ätna, and many more). "Natural vocal distortion - cool shit!" It's all about pure energy. The pieces were played, sung and recorded live in real time in the Hansa Studios Berlin.
With a love of noise that emerges from conventional sound attitudes, the potential was portrayed without cymbals, fingering patterns and artificial schemes.
Instead, with the help of prepared instruments and a piece of metal from the scrapyard.

With "Groteske", SAFI will be released for the first time on Rookie Records.
There she delivers a furious statement on how punk can also be defined.
The album is an uncompromising, scratchy and prickly signal for departure.
